Supported Living

Zero Three Care are aware of and support Essex County Council’s direction of travel which is towards supporting the provision of care to service users in their own homes.

Zero Three Care (Domiciliary) provides personal care to adults with a learning disability and Autism who are living in their own homes.

To this end we have set up a domiciliary care agency alongside our residential provisions in order to offer service users who choose to hold their own tenancy the opportunity to develop their skills and independence in their own homes.

Nature of services offered

Zero Three Domiciliary Care offers 24/7 care support services, 365 days per year, to include sleep-in and waking night services. The service encompasses help and support with many aspects of a service user’s daily life and requirements and may include assisting and helping them with the following:

  • Assisting and supporting people to set up and maintain their home or tenancy
  • Supporting people with day-to-day tasks such as shopping, meal preparation, budgeting and managing finances, domestic tasks etc.
  • Prompting and assisting people with their prescribed medication and supporting them to attend medical appointments.
  • Supporting people with personal care support, such as showering / bathing / washing / grooming / dressing and undressing / shaving / oral hygiene / toileting and continence requirements.
  • Supporting people to establish meaningful social contacts, to maintain relationships and to engage in chosen social activities.
  • Supporting people to follow recommendations made by external professionals.
  • Assisting and supporting people to maintain personal safety and security.

Other services provided include:

  • There is a 24 hour on-call service for the people using our services.
  • We take referrals for short notice interventions which can be ‘fast tracked’ through our system to provide specialist help and support that service users may need at short notice.
  • We can assist the service user with the transition process from their current placement to independent living accommodation where the costing allows for this.
